I still have the same lifestyle, namely, trading , blogging reading magazines and newspapers on the web and so on. I have converted all the stocks in my portfolio into just one scrip, that is Glodyne. Based on my study of the management behaviour, I think there is no deceit in the financial statements and that the company has really bucked the downtrend and maintained its growth rate despite the receddion in the global economy. In other words, in thew words of its CEO, it is a recession proof business model. I hope I have reposed my faith in the right company.
However, it is really tough to weather this slowdown. Peop[le nowadays have become very short-terrm in their thinking , and their comments and snide remarks do effect me,no matter how thick skinned I may try to be.
However I have to keep reminding myself of my vision and objectives and not lose sight of them despite pressures to conform . In other words I have to maintain the creative tension between my reality and vision using courage and ethics as my weapons.
Remember, most people in this world do not have sufficient courage and confidence in their abilities to be able to go against the norm. My parents also belong to this category. in fact that is why I am an Engineer today, despite having no interest in technical things. This time I have to be strong and resolute and stick to my path , no matter what anyone says.
